Enhancing my 3D virtual world with a 2D graphics tool

I enhanced my avatar using tools in gimp

here is my original avatar:

I added hair and am finishing up a dress Im putting on my avatar

 

I put a strapless dress on my avatar using the paint brush and I put a belt on her using the block paint brush. Then I gave my avatar hair using the round paint brush and the pencil scratch brush!

In the background I added a pepper, a star, and some sparks!
